Includes a Les Paul Special-II LTD

The Les Paul Special-II LTD is renown for its monstrous tone thanks to two open-coil humbuckers and a solid wood body with the classic Les Paul Special profile. Together, they produce that one-of-a-kind Les Paul roar. Unlike single coil pickups that are sensitive to interference from all other electrical sources, Epiphone humbucker pickups “buck the hum,” giving you buzz-free tone that can go from clean to overdrive without the extra noise.

The Les Paul Special-II LTD’s solid bolt-on hard maple neck has a classic rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The iconic Epiphone “clipped dovewing” headstock features precision 14:1 ratio machine heads and the iconic signature of the man himself, Les Paul. Only real Les Pauls have Les’ classic signature on the headstock. Accept no substitutes. The Les Paul Special-II LTD comes in two classic color finishes, Ebony and Vintage Sunburst.

Includes an Epiphone Electar 15-Watt Amp

The Les Paul Performance Pack also includes a portable Epiphone Electar 15-watt amp with reverb. Low watt guitar amps are popular for beginners and pros alike for their ‘just right,’ easy-to-find tone that sounds full and strong even at low volume. In fact, many pros prefer 15-watt amps in the studio. They’re perfect for recording, small clubs, or just playing around the house. The Epiphone Electar 15-watt amp features a classic open-back cabinet and two unique channels, Overdrive and Clean.

The Electar’s Overdrive and Clean channels are controlled by an easy-to-use Channel Selector Button on the front of the amp. The Overdrive channel has both Volume and Drive controls. You’ll fine every era of classic rock distortion and crunch with easy adjustments. The higher you go, the harder the sound. The Clean channel gives you distortion-free gain. In fact, you’ll find much more “clean” volume than you would think possible from an amp this size. Use the Les Paul Special-II LTD’s volume and tone controls in combination with the Electar’s Overdrive and Clean channels to find your sound. Then, make fine adjustments with the Electar’s Equalizer section featuring Treble, Middle, and Bass controls. Now, add the Electar’s Reverb control and you’ll easily find the classic, blues, metal, and hard rock riffs you love.

Clip-On Chromatic Tuner

The Epiphone Les Paul Performance Pack includes a clip-on headstock Epiphone chromatic tuner, making it easy to make fine tuning adjustments on stage or in the studio. The Epiphone chromatic tuner is fully adjustable and features an easy to read display.

About Epiphone

Epiphone is one of American’s oldest and most revered instrument makers and since 1873, Epiphone has made instruments for every style of popular music. The name evokes both history and the spirit of invention. Epiphone has been an audible presence in every great musical era from the mandolin craze of the early 1900s to jazz age guitars of the 1920s. From swing-era archtops through post-war pop, jazz, R&B, and early rock n’ roll. From the “British Invasion” to heavy metal, punk, grunge, and thrash. And now, in the 21st century, new Epiphone technical breakthroughs such as the ProBucker pickup, series parallel switching, built-in KillSwitch pots, the Shadow NanoFlex and NanoMag pickup systems, and premier acoustic/electric guitars with the eSonic preamp have brought the historic name to a new generation.

I have had this guitar for a almost a year now and it sounds and plays great. I wound up replacing the pickups with DiMarzios (only because I happened to have them from an old guitar).Pros: It is very easy to adjust. I have the action really low on mine. The amp is more than loud enough for practicing. The tuner works does the job. Easy to play. Was adjusted pretty good for a beginner (action, pickup heights, etc.).Cons: The 15W amps reverb doesn’t work. The tuners don’t stay tuned (I wound up replacing them). The cable lasted about 8 months (but cables are cheap). I had to clean the controls because they were noisy.Over all I’m glad I bought it. I have had hours of fun with it. I would buy another one if something happened to this one. Style Name: 15 Watt Player PackColor: Vintage Sunburst I got mine before Christmas 2014. This may be a long review. Fist off, The amp is a nice practice amp. It is a 15R 8 inch 15watts with 3 band EQ, reverb, overdrive, and clean settings. Now, this little 8 inch speaker will distort at high volume in the clean settings and sound like its in overdrive. The speaker is very tight and from what I have seen with mine, its the amp that is putting out the distorted sound on the clean setting. So, the amp can’t handle being loud without sounding bad. I tuned mine up just to see how much distortion it will put out and then tune it down till the sound is clean again. Still the amp can be kinda loud, but this is a practice amp. The patch wire in my kit didn’t work. Cheap patch cords never work very well. The tuner is ok, I bought a Korg GA tuner. The Epiphone tuner can not help with setting intonation on your guitar. I have tried and that’s why I bought a better one that can. The Les Paul Special II…. Now we are getting somewhere. Ok, out of the box the action is set way to high. I set mine on the low E to 2.00 and the high E is now 1.75mm. That helped with setting the intonation too. The higher the strings when you play, the more you stretch them when putting your fingers on the fret board. Plus low action makes it an easy player. Just don’t set it any lower, get fret buz. The truss rod is ok on mine. Factory set to .012. I could still lower the action more and I will as I get better at playing. The body and paint is nice. Very heavy guitar. Pickups sound ok with the practice amp, but I also have a Line 6 Spider IV30 amp and with this amp the Les Paul could use some better pickups. I have tried to adjust them, but they still sound a little week in sound. Kinda like muddy sound. Some say that’s the Les Paul tone. The tuners are bad, very bad.Read more › Style Name: 15 Watt Player PackColor: Ebony

I have been playing Spanish (classical) guitars for about 40 years (nylon strings), and the last time I played electric was when I was a teen (used to own a Fender Mustang- I wish I kept it!). Recently, I got the urge to buy an electric guitar and expand my horizons, and found this package, which fits the bill perfectly for me.I always liked Gibson Les Paul guitars, but I don’t want to spend the money for the real deal until I make sure that I really want to get back into playing electric. The package arrived promptly. Right away I opened the box, took all the components out, checked that everything was in good condition, plugged the amp, tuned the guitar and began playing. I have played this guitar every day.The guitar is beautiful and has decent sound. I plan to put new/better quality strings in a month or two. The amp does a good job for my needs of playing in my home. I am very glad that I purchased this Epiphone package. Style Name: 15 Watt Player PackColor: Vintage Sunburst

My Epiphone performance player pack was ordered on November 4, 2014 and arrived at my door step today November 6,2014 at 2.00 pm. The guitar package was supposed to be delivered at 8:00pm tonight, but came 6 hours a head of schedule. Everything was in great condition and in original packaging. With only a slight bridge adjustment to raise the big E string a bit so it would stop buzzing was all that was necessary to get started playing music again . I have messed around with guitar off and on for 46 years, I’m now 60 years old—yes I am an antique. At one time, I sound almost professional some would say, and others would say I played and sound professional why because I played everyday 7 days a week. I sold all my equipment a while latter, back in the mid to late 80’s I played with a band and when we played people listened. This guitar is as good as any I have ever played, I have played a Gibson Les Paul standard 1981 version and paid $1795.00 dollars new way back then. This guitar note’s and frets as good as any I have ever played if not better, the sound is like no other I have seen, when played with a Marshall half stack. My friends could not believe this sound from a Epiphone LP special II guitar. I do not need another guitar, a 50 watt amp maybe with two 12" speakers is all I will ever need for clubs and auditorium’s. Even the 15 watt practice amp would do for small clubs and not have to be played with the volume maxed out either.Mike through a pa speaker system you would be surprised at how much drive the little 15 watt amp will put out. I would recommend this Guitar and amp package to beginners and pro’s also would love this beautiful vintage color Les Paul special II guitar.Read more ›
